TUITION
Tuition is adjusted annually. Depending on the package you’ve purchased, tuition covers one a la carte lesson, one month of lessons, or one year of lessons.
Monthly Tuition: Each month’s tuition is the same regardless of the number of lessons per month. You are allowed to miss 6 unpaid lessons through the course of the year on our month to month tuition plan. There are no refunds on tuition. Tuition is payable by all major credit card and cash when in person. $30 late fees apply.
Al la carte Tuition: This is a pay as you go option for busy students. A la carte lessons must be paid in full prior to the lesson
and has a 24 hour cancellation notice which is strictly enforced.
Yearly Tuition: This is our most cost effective option. Pay for the whole year up front for a discount. This is a year long contract commitment and refunds will not be given should you drop out before the 12 months is complete.
Cost of books rendered will be added to any tuition package or charged separately to the student.
REFERRAL PROGRAM
You will receive 1 free lesson for every new student you refer to Eighty Eight Notes School of Music.
There is no limit to how many referrals you can give.

We teach full time, year round. Summer lessons are mandatory. If you opt out of summer you must re-register in the fall. You do risk losing your current spot should slots fill up. If you want to secure your spot for the fall, you may pay Eighty Eight Notes School of Music a non-refundable $300 hold fee. This does not apply to fall tuition!

IN PERSON LESSONS
For days when weather does not permit travel, classes will be taught and attended virtually. This also applies to sick days.
If you (or your teacher) are not feeling well, classes will be facilitated virtually on those days. This applies to group classes.
MISSED LESSONS AND CANCELLATIONS
Weekly lessons are mandatory and consistent attendance of your 46 lessons is expected. There are no refunds, credits for lessons missed or cancelled by the student. This is true of group and private lessons regardless of virtual or in person. You enroll for the specified time for each class given (e.g. monthly or semester). You are expected to complete the course for which you enrolled.
Eighty Eight Notes keeps a very tight schedule. Your lessons begin and end at the same time regardless of when you show up for your lesson. If you log in early to your lesson you will be expected to facilitate the virtual waiting room. If you show up early to your in person lesson, you may be asked to wait for your lesson time to begin.
HOLIDAYS
Observed school holidays include: Christmas/New Years, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Spring Break. There will be no classes held on these holidays and are included in the 6 unpaid classes per year.
TERMINATION
Termination of lessons for any reason requires a minimum of one month in advance written notice. Please note that if you choose to quit mid-tuition you forfeit all remaining lessons. No refunds on lessons forfeited.
All written termination should be sent to [email protected]
RECITALS
We host a recital twice yearly. This is not mandatory, but is strongly encouraged and open to all students.
