* All students must own or rent an instrument and download the free Zoom & Tonara apps where they
will receive their weekly assignment as well as track their practice time.
*You must have a device to video conference as well as internet fast enough to support video conferencing.
Monthly Tuition: $70-$250
Tuition is adjusted annually. Tuition covers one month of lessons at a time and is due at the first of every month. Each month’s tuition is the same regardless of the number of lessons per month. You are allowed to miss 6 unpaid lessons through the course of the year. Tuition is payable by all major credit card. $20 late fees apply.
We also now offer an Al la carte option for our virtual piano lessons. This is a pay as you go option for busy students. A la carte lessons must be paid in full prior to the lesson and has a 48 hour cancellation notice which is strictly enforced.
Cost of books rendered will be added to any tuition package.
You will receive 1 free lesson for every new student you refer to Eighty Eight Notes School of Music.
There is no limit to how many referrals you can give.
Schedules are reassigned twice a year, in June and September. Please be as flexible as possible when scheduling is reassigned. We teach full time, year round. Summer lessons are mandatory. If you opt out of summer you must re-register in the fall with the $55 registration fee, assuming your slot is still available. If you want to secure your spot for the fall, you may pay Eighty Eight Notes School of Music a non-refundable $300 hold fee. This does not apply to fall tuition!
MISSED LESSONS AND CANCELLATIONS
Weekly lessons are mandatory and consistent attendance of your 46 lessons is expected. There are no refunds, credits for lessons missed or cancelled by the student. This is true of group and private lessons.
Eighty Eight Notes keeps a very tight schedule. Your lessons begin and end at the same time regardless of when you show up for your lesson. If you log in early to your lesson you will be expected to facilitate the virtual waiting room.
Observed school holidays include: Christmas/New Years, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Spring Break. There will be no classes held on these holidays and are included in the 6 unpaid classes per year.
A new group class is offered the first Monday of each month. We host 2 different group classes: beginners and more advanced. Each month we cover different topics including but not limited to history, technique, performance, theory, etc. Classes run dependent on monthly enrollment. Class size is 3-8 students. If a class is full we will begin another for your to join.
Termination of lessons requires a minimum of one month in advance written notice. Please note that if you choose to quit mid-tuition you forfeit all remaining lessons. No refunds on lessons forfeited. You are responsible to terminate with the school CEO & Director of Music and Education.
We host a recital twice yearly. This is not mandatory, but is strongly encouraged and open to all students.
